Roger Rapoport visits Book Passage in Marin County on the 50th anniversary of the Patty Hearst kidnapping. Half a century later, he revisits the case in his new novel Searching for Patty Hearst. The book draws heavily from that time and explores alternative theories of one of the most bizarre and polarizing crimes in American history. Rapoport gives voice to much of the story that fell outside the bounds of journalistic coverage.
